Happy Easter............ this morning here in Atlanta......... I woke to the sound of all the local kids on a spectacular Easter egg hunt ............ such lovely family fun....... The perfect mix of family and little children and just some light commercialism ........ some of the best bits of America are like this ........... :-)))))))))))))

Mostly I wake to the sound of the BBC.......... either The World Service or Radio 4 ............ yesterday when i was rolling through Birmingham Alabama........ I was a little confused for a moment cos coming out of the car radio was my old Radio 4 mate Justin Webb .......... he was on the NPR affiliate in Birmingham on the The Diane Rehm Show ......... he is obviously doing the rounds promoting his lovely sounding brand new book Cheers America - How an Englishman Learned to Love America.

I always feel a very close connection with my friend Justin partly because as the name of his new book suggests he is very much a Brit ........ but he has a real affection and admiration for many aspects of America ........... a bit like yours truly.
