Well, I pride myself on not needing flash accommodation....... Basic motels are fine for me........ I like being able to back the car up to the room and get all the photo junk out of the car really easily.......... Of course I have also stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world it's not all grim motels ......... I lived in the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem for a while it remains one of my favorite hotels ........ Yeah I love places like that........ but to become over addicted to luxury......... really cuts down on operational ability as a photojournalist ........ so I don't want to get out of being able to occasionally sleep in the car or a ditch or the odd really grim hotel ......... anyway the night before last I had really hesitated on the car park of this grim little motel ...... I couldn't quite face it ........ but it was the only accommodation in town......... so I thought hey how bad can it be?...... ......... anyway it was kind of was clean........ painted green and purple and had weird gas fires for heating that looked like they would asphyxiate anyone staying the night.......... but it was all kind of OK ......... sort of......... right up until taking the shower in the morning........ cold shower........ oh no.......... wooow....... I have to draw the line at that I really hate that ,..........

Anyway the end to end stuff........ grimness to luxury........ thing that goes on......... having spent the night in the grimmest motel I can remember for some long time ......... the very next night....... last night...... I am very kindly invited to stay in the most beautiful old style Southern home ......... So last night I stayed in just the most beautiful house filled with amazing historic furniture ......... my room had this crazily spectacular bathroom as you see above .......... hehehehe.........

And I can confirm it had beautiful hot water in the lovely shower this morning ......... Yeah I have had it with grim motels......... I am only staying in places with 24 carat gold taps from now on :-)))
