The taxis were operating all night in the blackout in down town Manhattan following the devestation of 'Super Storm Sandy'......... I arrived in NYC at 2AM then did the same....... eventually I watched the light coming up at dawn ....... in this shot the sky is starting to light up with dawn light..... but the city is still in pitch darkness....... only the self illuminating cabs have light.
