This whole 'Phone Hacking' scandal began with the exposure of the hacking of Prince Williams phone........ As ever the Royals were such a tempting target for the Tabloid media they just couldn't resist ........ British people obsess over Royals ..... They are for Brits the ultimate celebrities ............ Brits wear funny outfits and camp out all night to see even minor Royals never mind "The Wedding of the Century" as in the picture above ........

I find it all slightly depressing........ Mind you I find the whole worship of celebrity slightly depressing ......... . I don't read too much celebrity news or look at many celeb pics ........ I sometimes almost think I prefer pap pix to the airbrushed rubbish that celeb PR's insist magazines use if they want that all important pretend 'interview' with the star ......... I certainly don't generally fawn over the Royal family or any celebrity types........... It appalls me to think that now so much actual journalistic enquiry and press freedom is again threatened because of so much fawning over and interest in the Royals and all celebrities both from the public and their favorite newspapers :-///////////

PS....... Don't get me wrong..... I understand the tipping point in creating this 'hue and cry' is the hacking of Millie Dowler's phone etc........ of course it's totally grim and shocking that NoW people were hacking the phones of murdered girls etc.......... that is of course totally horrid and of course I am not saying the phone hacking is OK.

PPS....... Listen to Hugh Grant .......... listen to him speaking to the ex News Editor at the end ....... only Hugh Grant knows what journalism is .......
