Well they are off.......... !!!!!!!!!

Officially the British election campaign started today with the Prime Ministers announcement of the actual election date May 6th.

I am in Britain at the moment....... but I am feeling a little estranged from British politics having been living in the US of A for the last 8 years.

The last time I was really physically there and engaged with an election was the first time Tony Blair was elected. He felt like a breath of fresh air in British Politics at the time.

I still like Blair now unlike people in Britain....... sadly they seem to hate him these days....... its funny..... Im really like an American in that I still like Tony :-)) ....... hehehehe.........

I can't say that Brown has the same energizing effect on the body politic of Britain and Im not sure that Cameron does either....... well Im here in London now........ so I can watch the wall to wall TV.............. or even get out there on the road to judge and photograph these guys for myself ........... well maybe I can for a couple more days cos Matt is coming up with fab stuff in Chicago and New York and DC........ probably enough to miss out on another Brit election campaign......... oh well........ :-))

This image is part of pictures I did for the Labour Party back in the day........... Its the only election stuff I can find on this disk of history Matt gave me the other day....... I think I even shot it in the in the campaign before Blair....... hehehe........ when dinosaurs walked the Earth and certainly led the Labour Party hehehe............ :-))
