Written in the air JFK to Pittsburgh:

Im looking down on a mega well lit baseball ground i guess in New Jersey somewhere......... so it looks like I made a clean getaway.

I had packed away my gear....... the light had almost gone........ I slid my bag back under the table and was just finishing my coffee when two slightly hassled cops turned up...... they were looking around purposefully in the almost empty and now closed airport cafeteria area.....

They seemed to be especially interested in the few people sitting close to the window. I was a few rows back from the window.

Im not sure if they spoke to anybody else.

Eventually they came over to me: "Have you seen a suspiscious person taking photographs?" they asked me . I kind of shrugged. In an answer they took to be no.

Then they went away.

I sat slightly frozen waiting for them to return. But they did not. So I beat a hasty retreat.

I had not seen a suspicious person taking photographs. That was not a lie. I had seen no one take photographs suspicious or otherwise.

I had made a fair few pictures myself. But I had seen no one photographing. Especially not a suspicious person.

Written on the ground in Pittsburgh Airport at gone midnight :

The Immaculate Reception is the nickname given to one of the most famous plays in the history of American football. It occurred in the AFC divisional playoff game between thePittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on December 23, 1972. Late in the game, after Frenchy Fuqua, a Pittsburgh half back, collided with Raiders Safety Jack Tatum as he tried to make a catch, Pittsburgh running back Franco Harris caught the deflected football just before it hit the ground, and ran in for atouchdown that won the game for the Steelers.

The statue to Franco Harris and his Immaculate Reception is next to a statue of George Washington....... while I am there a mother says to her teenage son ....... go on I'll take a photo of you next to one of the statues....... which one do you want? ........ 'I'll be next to the famous guy'...... says the teenager....... and stands next to the footballer........ a man I had never heard of till today ...... he does not stand by George Washington..... hehehehe......... :-))) XXXXXXXX
