Well, it appears amazingly Im in by the skin of my teeth again....... Amazingly my plane was not diverted like others Matt is tracking..... I think JJ is trapped at JFK...... but I appear to have skirted the volcanic ash cloud once again... Last time I flew over the Atlantic the airspace in Ireland and Scotland was closed... And so it was again today... Luckily I\'ve up to now always just about got away with it today flying over the French coast on approach to LHR ...... I\'ve met plenty of other folks stranded for days by all this ash cloud lark... Amazingly I\'ve managed to always travel when I need to... Respect and Salutations of course to the Volcano Gods of Iceland :-)

Same cannot be said to the Gods of Continental Airlines........ I was on a real early flight out of Newark NJ ... That in itself... er ... Why?..... What was that about ?..... (mind u any later I would have been stranded by the ash cloud)........ Normally the good old red eye is the way to roll... Fly late sleep a bit.. Get off for a new day in London... When u fly early u have to get up early or not go to bed in my case....... but then u just lose a whole day in traveling unnecessarily......... But that is not my main gripe............ We were on a tiny plane B757 smallest I have ever crossed the Atlantic in......... with a single walkway 3 seats either side of that small isle... needless to say I woz 2 seats from the isle... Without any space to move ... Then I started watching that movie \'Shutter Island\' which is all set in a prison/mental hospital on an island... In the story no one can leave...... they are all trapped by water and a storm......... I was already feeling incredibly claustrophobic... That movie was totally depressing and totally claustrophobia inducing .... That choice of movie given the circumstance...... and the selection of Continental Airlines....... Bad move all round... :-)...( I know I know........ Matt\'s saying they were the only ones flying direct London to Houston last Tuesday and that was fine...... nice plane the whole thing... But this bit... Well... I will never slag off Delta again :-)) )
