Im having serious trouble getting everything to work.......... this laptop needs some serious love......... luckily here is another image I prepared earlier..........
Maybe its because Im a European hanging out in the States....... I seemed to have missed old buildings, art and architecture.......the presence of living history.......the stuff you just take for granted when you live in England or France.........stuff you weren\'t aware you were missing at all.... until you see it again..........so it seems that old churches and cathedrals and castles seemed to have filled my spare time in France. This is taken in the Norman Collegiate church in the small ancient City of Vernon in Normandy itself about 50 miles outside of Paris.
The image is of an ancient painting of Jesus lit by light streaming through a beautiful stained glass window.
I shot this on a little Cannon SD550 which is a great little pocket camera. For what looks like....... and is really....... a tiny point and shoot camera........ it also has some great useful little controls to override the automatic settings........ like in this image it has allowed me to choose to expose for the high lights and of course to turn off the flash.........which really makes this shot work.
This slightly more technique led spiel is for Sayeed from yesterdays blog comments...... hehehe.......:-)
Cheers Jez XXXXXXXXXXXX
PS........ The truth is I am still hung over.........
