Up in Alberta Canada it was minus 2 overnight....... even in August........ Back here on the US East Coast..... in DC......... it still feels to me very hot and humid this evening...... but it has only been 88F and 38% humidity today....... That is really nothing by the standards of this hot and sticky former swamp land............... Summer ..... It may not be obviously finished here......... but it officially ends, at least in the thought process of Americans ...... tomorrow....... or strictly after tomorrow....... after Labor Day is concluded ........ In the US... Memorial Day is the beginning ......... Labour day the end ........ and here we are at Labor day ...... the end of summer when the pools close and all children are back to school ..... I guess Im ready for this season to be over...... I always find the humidity is what gets to us European types.......... I for one am looking forward to autumn ..... Fall... as they say in this neck of the woods.......
