This place......... everytime I drove down here I'd think woooow....... this is incredible.......... a bit like the first time you see the raised subway lines running down the high streets in the Bronx and Queens........ just so functional and brutal like all the public infrastructure of NYC......... just such a monstrosity and yet strangely attractive........ where the form follows function with no frills and no hiding........ the steel structures shout out their purpose ........ as is the case here........ they hold up the sky............. creating an enclosed world below............ above the giant road........... whisks drivers to leafy suburbs......... below the ordinary city dwellers..... seemingly are denied even a peek at the sky.
