So the King is dead....... long live the King! Its all over for Tony Blair........ lets face it...... term limits are probably a good idea...... I still like and admire Blair...... but its crazy how so many people in Britain...... especially Labour Party activists now totally hate him. Its a kind of psychosis ....... he is only the most successful Labour Leader in history...... giving their party an unprecedented three general election victories in a row....... he is forced to step down now......... mostly by internal Labour Party pressure.......... and yet he is probably the only Labor politician who could almost certainly win the next election for Labour as Leader......... his disgusting treatment by some of his own party front benchers guarantees problems for the future....... its not as bad as the kicking Mrs Thatcher received from her own party at the end............ but her treatment and the splits it created.... did her party in for years afterwards........ term limits are probably a good idea....... 8 years is enough time to achieve things..... 10 years or above appears to be enough time for people to build up a good psychotic hatred. Well lets see what comes next but I have a feeling people will be looking back fairly rapidly thinking he wasn't so bad...... Like I say maybe its cos Im living in the States...... but I haven't got sick of him..... I feel nostalgic......it is the end of an era...... we were involved in getting him elected first time round....... we shot a fair bit of campaign material for the Labour Party....... it was a fantastically optimistic time.... ah yes...... our agency Insight had my pictures of Blair and Campaign Posters on its own promotional literature' New Images For A New Era' ........ you couldn't show those in Britain now and actually expect anyone to give you any assignments........ he is still admired widely in the USA...... well I for one am a Brit sad to see him go.

PS Bob Im still in Boston. I managed to time it to run into Scott who is here for a day or two. Tommorrow Im will roll back to NYC maybe shoot some more taxis and dig in the vaults but I am heading out to Kansas on Monday
