Im not sure this is a really mighty image..... its just that this was such a weirdly haunting secret place. I was expecting fire not ice......this is a burnt out apartment..... in a block of burned down apartments...... the fire brigade have doused the devastating fire using thousands of gallons of water....... but in Nebraska their water has turned to ice. I made this picture today.....This apartment has been sealed since the fire 10 days ago.... it almost felt like it had been sealed for 100 years...... no one died in the fire...... but it was very sad to see the tenant of this unit....... she was hoping to recover a few personal things as she made an emotional return to her former home.
