Well, it could be the end of an era........ I have a mate of mine staying in my apartment in NYC ...... he complains that I have two fridges and both are stuffed with film......... leaving him no room to put food in the fridge........ Surely he knows a well stocked fridge is full of film and has a few bottles of beer? ....... What more could you want?????? ......... I have pointed out to him : 'This is New York City !!!!' ....... You can get coffee, tea, beers and any type of cooked food, hot or cold, East or West...... 24 -7 just step out of the apartment building door ..... People are falling over themselves to cook any type of food...... and serve it to you anytime of day or night ........ but he is weirdly talking as if he is going to be buying raw food and cooking it ..........????????

But today my decision to stock pile film...... instead of leaving room for lamb chops etc is looking more necessary than ever........

According to the Wall Street Journal Kodak will imminently go into Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection.......... I've known it was coming....... But could it be that Kodak is finally bankrupt ???? !!!!! ......... who would ever have guessed it could happen ? ..... When I was at college we would never have guessed that it could be all over for the film companies in our working lifetime .......... Especially the mighty Eastman Kodak ....... With its massive global reach.......... Unthinkable!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in the day Kodak used this picture I made...... (above)....... of skinheads in London........ to advertise it's mighty 35mm Tri-X black and white film ...... way way back in the day this film really was the photojournalist's most favoured film ........ it is/was my very fave black and white film of all time.

End of an era alright....... If Kodak is almost down and out........ and evil shadows gather in the land of Mordor......... it must be near the end....... for the time of the elves.......... :-(( :-// :-))))))))) XXXX
