More stress today on this 'Hostile Environment Training Course' that I am undertaking .......... part of todays exercise was so unnerving and realistic feeling I was having problems controlling my breathing ........... even though I have actually experienced a very similar thing and survived once in my real professional life ....... mind you I can tell you I was certainly experiencing the same issues of rising panic back then I can tell you :-/ ..........

I guess at the end of the day I am partly reliving some of these terrible things that have actually happened to me in real conflict zones in the past just by being on this course ........ some of these real life experiences I have totally repressed......... in the way people do ......... so you can withstand it all ....... and just keep going in the circumstance ............ but all these heavy duty training drills just keep bringing it all back .......... obviously we are training here to face and have strategy for the worst case scenarios ....... luckily in real life I find there is a bit more time to chill....... it isn't normally totally back to back with the worst case scenario situations unfolding all day ( Unless of course you are in Virginia hehehehe) :-)))))))))))) :-/////////

Above you see Jeff K attempting with a colleague to stabilize the condition of a third degree burns victim ....... a fake burns victim of course ......... Jeff is an aid and development worker he is one of the very few non media types on this course.
