It is good to sometimes look back....... I don't do it often enough really ....... I like the roll...... I like the real time stuff of now........ but amongst this weeks shoots....... Matt and I have been opening boxes of prints from our bunker down here in the big ATL ..... some boxes have not seen the light of day for decades.......... its been kind of great and surprising to see my old photographs ....... but it kinda does my brains in too....... I can remember what I was thinking when I made those old pictures........ what was important to me back then ........ Some of it Im still amazingly consistent about ......... Some of it was just total madness :-))))))) hehehehe.......

I found some prints of a family holiday in Scotland I took with my parents and my brother............. I guess I was about say 15 ........ I was obssesed with photography even way back then ......... I made a picture of a rainbow..... I remember standing looking over the loch at the rainbow against a brooding sky ......... I still love rainbows today...........

At the same time as looking at the old black and white prints from back in the day....... we are checking the state of play with all our more recent back ups on the Atlanta based hard drives........ so I have been looking through things from the more immediate past too ......... this above I shot earlier this year.... in the Summer...... as I was rolling across mega distances in the wide open spaces of the mid western American states ....... with the famed extreme storm chaser Reed Timmer and his crew from the Discovery Channel ....... looking for tornadoes......... but at this moment I was just seeing amazing rainbows while we rolled on towards the heart of the storm..... at full tilt .............
