And so today is the Winter Solstice which, for those who don't know, occurs exactly when the Earth's axial tilt is farthest away from the sun. This makes it the longest night and shortest day and not a particularly good day for people who suffer with S.A.D.
In addition to it's special mystical significance to Druid types with it's rebirth of the sun god etc it seems to effect Jez's relationship with technology and his ability to blog :) So here's an image from the JC archive of some Druids in Cornwall UK celebrating a solar eclipse. Please note that no human sacrifices were made in the making of this image :)
