I told 'Hefty Loco' leading light of the Mexican 'O Boyz' Gang that I had shot a picture of him with his girl......... he said : ' His Girl? Huh ? .... Oh Yeah....... OK but ...... This girl is just the weekend girl '

I made this picture after I met up with some of the 'O Boyz' on Friday evening when I was walking in their neighborhood at dusk (just off National City Blvd) in the National City District of San Diego........ an area that has had in the past at least a seriously violent reputation.

'Hefty Loco' himself was very welcoming as were most of his friends........ but one young guy with them was seriously hostile....... and seethed that I was 'no ones friend' and I should not be allowed to come into their neighborhood....... it wasn't right ........ I should be face down in my blood by now....... he was young and nervy.... he was worrying me....... but as long as Hefty was cool with me...... I was cool........

Hefty wanted me to do drugs with him so he could fully trust me....... he seemed to be at least drunk already.......... I didn't want to do 'a line' or 'have some crystal'............ I didn't even want to eat the food i was offered ......... the young guy was busy informing the rest I was insulting them by my behavior ....... I was dissing them........ in the end I had a beer offered by one of the crew....... much to annoyance of the young guy....... he seethed on about cutting me up........ it was slightly tricky......

In the end I thanked 'Hefty' flamboyantly for his hospitality.......... he told me he could fix me up with a girl ....... in even dodgier parlance....... again I was in full excuse mode..........at that he told me he at least had some business with his weekend girl....... luckily the young guy was not to be seen at that moment........ I saw a chance to nip off without having him follow me as he had assured me he was going to ......... as i got round the corner I slightly speeded up......... I felt silly....... made me laugh nervously at my self ....... cos it was scary and silly at the same time....... that kid really hated me....... so I was speed walking away like a cartoon character ........ hehehe....... I was certainly glad to have zapped off without him seeing me go ......... :-))
