Today is Independence Day in Belize........ 28 years ago today they became a free nation....... throwing off the Brits as the colonial rulers........ it's a big day!

I shot this in Placencia a small coastal town the music played, the parade rolled and the Belikin flowed.......... If you say beer you get a Belikin....... If you say strong beer or stout...... you get a Belikin Stout......... If you want a light beer there is the Belikin light ......... in fact its all Belikin ....... Its pretty well impossible to get anything else...........

So this guy is celebrating Independence day with a bottle of the National Drink........... :-))

PS....... Sorry...... This post and my replies on the blog are sometimes a little delayed when posting from down here ...... last night due to a spectacular storm interfering with the satellite uplink for the internet ....... hey you can't have everything...... the laid back lost vibe and drama of the Belizian coast.... all the fun of feeling you are totally away from it all....... in a far away undiscovered unspoiled place ...... er...... oh yeah....and constant internet please......... hehehehe............
