As the news blackout has now been broken and the demands of the kidnappers have been been made public........it is now generally known that the real JezC is being held by The people's liberation army for the ethical treatment of Jezblog competition winners (Provisional Marxist Leninist Quaker wing) This group is thought to be based in the uncharted tribal belt of the North West Frontier of North Carolina........ Little is known about the groups operating in this area...... other than they have strange customs and beliefs not really compatible with a modern world....... also that they fight long blood feuds with other families in the area ......... they have also made trouble for occupying armies in other parts of the world...... it is also known that if they feel you have wronged them they will take action........ and that the taking of hostages to attempt to pressure other families into parting with ransom is a regular feature of life there....... anyway the photojournalist and reportage artist Jez Coulson is thought to have displeased a tribal chief....... by not making good on some casual promises he had made........ this is taken as a grave insult....... so it is thought he will be held until blood money or reparations in the form of exquisite artwork is handed over by his representatives.........

Meantime........ I am one of the many Jez Coulson body doubles that operate round the world......... ( you don't think one person is making all those trips do you?) ...... luckily I have not been snatched and held recently ......... so I am carrying on as if nothing has happened....... holidaying with Jez's folks and his sister and her kids over from South Africa ........ they have not spotted I am in fact a body double so my training is obviously paying off......... Ive noticed one or two people have been complaining on Jezblog that ....... Matt ....... Jez's buddy and Agent ........ has been posting depressing images of the UK made by Jez ......... so I thought I would make a nice picture of the British landscape and put it up........... hey JezC makes it into such a big drama........ how hard can it be?..... Just to knock out a couple of nice pictures of the Isle of Wight while I am here holidaying...... huh??

So here is one I shot in this evenings fading light..... from the garden of the cottage........... where we are now staying after a little bit of sailing off the coast.

PS........... I think the sepia tone that emerged automatically in this image on automatic White balance.... must be a factor of me having visited the home of pioneering artist in photography Julia Margaret Cameron today. Her house in Freshwater called Dimbola Lodge is now a museum dedicated to her work and life......... er......... she was a portrait artist......... and did not go mad on sepia........ but hey....... you know

PPS........ Thanks to Matt for posting....... Isle of Wight has not enough cell signal for the digital bit of my iphone and virtually no wifi....... with the honourable exception of the mighty cafe I am now blogging from at the end of the pier in Yarmouth....... Gossips Cafe...... mighty fry up breakfast and free wifi amazing views...... its beautiful man I could cry !!!
