Well i had to dash down to St Michael's Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay today.........I was in the beast car which is always good (as long as you are not in Virginia)........ crossing the Chesapeake Bridge was amazing the day was crystal clear I could see ships that might have been twenty miles away.......... St Michael's is a fantastic little town slightly oddly it has Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld both living here....... or at least they both have houses here......... but you should not let that cloud your view its a great little place ..... surrounded by water with character and charm........ its kind of dead in the winter and pretty cold with wind coming off the bay...... but it is still kind of magical........... I was too busy working on the stuff I was really doing to shoot stuff I can use on Jezblog ....... until finally at the end of the day I walked down to the water where the watermen keep their boats....... serious crabbing and fishing vessels..... for the hardy workers on the creek side.... not the pleasure craft of the Marina for the weekenders on the bayside....... . It was almost dark as I strolled on to the dock.... it was freezing and abandoned but the sky still had amazing color and the cold keeps the smell of the crabbing boats down........ It was so dark ...... I literally had time only to shoot variations on this one image looking across a small crabber....... so this is it for todays blog shots ...... just the one image to choose from.
I was thinking of rolling back to DC tonight........ I have sent the images from todays commissioned shoot........ its 12-50AM pretty late to set out............... but I'll only have to roll mega early if I leave it till tomorrow........ Matt was chuntering on about shooting in 21 locations worldwide including fab places like Singapore and Perth, London Berlin etc, etc ....... if Im about to do all or any..... of that..... I really ought to get some sleep ........er......... look a flying pig !
My old mate in London Neil Turner put up a funny pic of me on his pre-blog ............ and funnily enough Amin in NYC did too......... I have a camera stuck to my face and I am wearing the same hat in both pics......... yeah its important my tightly controlled identity remains hidden....... hehehe....... international man of mystery and mysteriously similar wooly hats ( Neil's blog is featuring the signature green jacket you might be interested to note Lynda....... and Amin's would be if it wasn't on the back of the chair........... Yeah I never go anywhere without it.......hehehe
Cheers Jez XXXXX
PS........ The Sunday Times Top 100 blog placing is still bringing a ton of new folks please just leave a note to say hi if you are a newbie......... and please leave one if you are not........ hehehe cheers Jez XX :-)
