Amin was over tonight peeking through stuff i had on my desk top........ he always tells me off for allowing my computer to block up with too much stuff.......... he is right everything appears to be on the go slow right now......... and Safari and Photo Mechanic keep falling over........ yeah yeah I need to do something....... anyway Amin looks at this image hanging about on the desk top and says he really likes it........ I say I think it has kind of missed its moment........ stuff on the blog is normally from that day or at least vaguely relevant if its older........... Amin says you should put it up anyway ....... it kind of seems like a bit of history....... it is from Florida last week ....... actually shot less than one week ago...... since then I have worked in DC, London, Philadelphia and today in New York City......... he is right it has something ....... those big rigs they are kind of iconic of America and the open road....... the drivers have a culture of their own........ rolling and living in the cab........ here parked up and sleeping in a rest area on Interstate 4 .........

PS....... completely separately I was depressed to see British officials barred a far-right Dutch lawmaker from entering the UK when he flew in today, citing his anti-Islamic views........... in an order that has touched off a wide-ranging debate in the United Kingdom about the limits of free speech...... I find myself in the Salman Rushdie camp........"What is freedom of expression? Without the freedom to offend, it ceases to exist,".... Salman Rushdie. Geert Wilders had been invited to show his controversial film at the House of Lords. The film is sure gut wrenching and certainly many will find it totally offensive even racist ......... but should a law maker from a fellow EU country be banned from Britain for making this film ?........ Here it is if you can take it.... the whole concept is shocking and some images particularly shocking....... Fitna ....... Actually that really is a vile film to watch ........ here is Ayaan Hirsi Ali speaking about having the truthfulness to call things by their name and recognize the roll of Islamic theology in motivating terror attacks........ but she as always is fantastic and compelling without any of the the shock horror.
