Sunday is kind of relaxed for most... even in New York........ but not for me...... I've been zapping about attempting to get kit for this mad series of shoots I have coming up now......

I'm heading out for Brazil today Monday then Im flying on to Germany through London then back to Trinidad via Miami before ending up back here in New York via Miami again...... the only trouble is normally I would take one sort of lighting gear to Europe and another to South America....... one sort of lighting for inside another for outside....... but this trip is requiring a whole pile of different types of shoot without returning to base to change gear ..... and you can't just take it all cos they won't allow you on the plane......

So anyway I now have multi voltage capable lights and battery powered gear that can be charged in different voltages of mains power...... (I had some of these battery powered units before but they were all done in by an unfortunate gust of wind in Boston) ...... but getting all this stuff was much harder than I expected even B&H mightiest photo store in the world appears to be holding hardly any specialist gear in stock.... I guess it must be as part of efficiency to counter an expected drop in sales........ but all this means they can get it for you but they don't actually have it...... er...... this is certainly not my expectation of B&H or even Fotocare or Adorma and I need the stuff now ....... in the end a combination of Adorma and B&H came through.......... we were also attempting to find some special props that we need and were receiving directions from our Art Director remotely who was also frenzying on props himself in London......

All in all.. pretty unrelaxing....... but hey we are now ready to roll..... well nearly........ aggggggghhhhhhhhh..........
