Well, I've had a great weekend....... I went to a great dinner party in DC on Saturday night....... fantastic food and wine with wonderful people......... non of whom Id really met before other than of course my friends holding the dinner party......... but all those people were just great...... I would really like to remain friends with them all ....... hey how often can you truly say that of a whole room full of people!

It was a very social weekend for us Insight types too......... cos Marc (over from London) and Matt (up from the big ATL) were also in DC over the weekend.............at one point they were both helping out on some office stuff and library searches....... i suddenly realized for the first time in years I still sometimes miss all the camaraderie and madness of the old London Insight office........ it was sort of a total nightmare ........ too many photographers not enough space .......... phones constantly ringing...... stressy stuff to be sorted out all the time ......... constant hassle and deadlines, despatch-riders, darkrooms, phones, prints, transparencies, light-boxes, scanners and computers....... I was always busy shooting and when I was in the Insight building I had an office with literally no door......... it seemed people were just incessantly buzzing round me the whole time...........to some degree the place was doing my brains in ......... but there was a special camaraderie between us......... especially between the people who had been there a long while ......... and Marc J kind of embodies the best of those times for me ......... Matt is obviously relatively a bit of a new boy but Marc and I agree he is a proper Insight guy ....... and we love him........ hehehehehe.......

Marc had been doing a picture search from our data base using my laptop........ I think looking for US soldiers....... He had left some stuff open on the desk top........
