A while ago I was asked to think of a trip that meant a lot to me.......... This trip to the rain forest in Ghana stands in my memory as an amazing place to have travelled to............ the complete privilege of being able to travel to this amazing place then to be welcomed by the community....... I still feel it actively today years later ......... In this village there is no running water....... in fact no drinking water at all and no electricity........ I really had dropped off the end of the ordinary world........ this is a seriously inaccessible place.......... and the difference between your own life style and that of the local community is huge....... they are living a tough and vulnerable life in poverty and yet they were amazingly friendly and warm ...... myself and the writer Rebecca Fowler....... flew to Accra then drove across country....... deep into the rain forest.........
