Im not sure this is the kind of 'Misty Mornin' Bob Marley had in mind .... but his music was sort of coming to me when I thought..... smoke..... steam ...... mist........ this morning on 7th Ave........ NYC

In fact I was having a classic NYC morning..... getting up to move my car for street cleaning...... then driving aimlessly trying to find somewhere to put it...... that in itself is so NYC...... the joy (sarcasm).........then I saw all that steam pumping out of the pavement..... Wow.....er..... Im used to it now (he says).... but it was one of those total amazing mysteries for me and all London types..... er..... what is all that steam coming out of the sidewalk?..... What's that about ?.... Who knows... and yet..... It's so archetypal of NYC....... it looks to be only the stuff of movies featuring Batman in Gotham City...... but when you get here for real..... there it is.. pumping out of the street..... Everyone takes no notice and just walks on through even this particularly spectacular display..... and amazingly..... I am the only gawker......hey come on... I don't bother with celebrities..... I don't gawk or stalk them.... but a spectacular steam eruption from the streets of NYC....... there I am gawking...... alone in my awe.........
