Chevy Chase is game for a laugh most times..... and so it was today....... (this image is made seconds before the stage manager grabs the microphone to tell people the police have ordered the closure of the Mall as electrical storms are in the vicinity).......... Chevy gets out there only for only a few seconds himself then the storm is suddenly so bad he needs an umbrella even though the stage has a roof........ he is calling for an umbrella from the stage guys but they do not appear to have any to hand........ I have a brand new one in my pocket...... so I hand it over to Chevy.... it immediately blows inside out ..... he starts jumping on it in a crazed comic way....... I think... oh well its for a good cause..... but amazingly its sort of OK as you see......... cos he starts using it again....... then suddenly its all over...... the stage manager grabs the mike.....the performance is stopped........ the power has to be switched off.... we all have to get off the stage........ in the end Im getting a sandwich when I see Chevy down in the VIP tent........ and I sidle up to him "....... er....... Chevy I've always loved your films......... great show mate well done...... like that bit with the umbrella just mega ...... er....... um...... is it OK if I get it back now ?".......... ha ........ how cheap is that ! ......... look I needed it to protect my cameras ........... he thought it was just a stage umbrella as it were...... and now he is of course really embarrassed about having jumped on it........ hehehe.....

Cheers Jez XX
