Did you see that Dith Prang has died he pretended to be a Taxi driver to escape execution....... his life and escape from the Cambodia of the Khmer Rouge is immortalized in the film 'The Killing Fields'. His will to live and recover despite the terrible, torture, degradation, starvation, poverty and the loss of everything and everyone he held dear is inspiring and humbling. He over came the most terrible circumstance to escape and live on. To become a living inditement of the scourge of totalitarianism. He was a committed journalist, translator and photojournalist a believer in freedom and the right to speak and be heard. A campaigner against injustice and genocide worldwide and always committed to the rebirth of the land of his own birth Cambodia. Despite everything he recovered and lived happily in his adopted country the United States, an example to us all, a man whose spirt and humanity was not broken by the disgusting murderous regime of the Khmer Rouge. That vile regime killed 2 million of its own people including 50 members of Dith Prangs own family.

Respect.........

Cheers JezXX
