Newcastle Pennsylvania looks like it has seen better days. The lady running the diner next to Kennedy Square told me it had been downhill in her area for the last twenty years. The thrift shop seemed to have a fair few customers but everything else seemed deserted, a line of delivery trucks looked like they hadn't moved for at least that last twenty years, some had plants growing in them. Still ........lt seemed a nice town, without the malign, threatening atmosphere that comes with economic stagnation in many other places.
