Im yet not back in NYC but 'I feel the need.... the need for speed (ing taxi)' I shot this on Wednesday last week on one of my fave corners to watch taxis. Yeah the guy who runs the cafe on the corner of 23rd and 8th thinks Im nuts and strongly recommends I ought to get another hobby..... but at least pretends to be interested in where I've been...... and makes a decent cup of lemon tea even at 3AM.

Yeah..... I like to spend a good couple of hours hanging out and watching the world and the taxis go by.... much to the amusement of the cafe guy....... In my view one of the main things that makes a difference in photography is time. If you have time to wait for the right light or the right person to walk through or the right expression......even the right formation of taxis..... what I cant stand is the 15 seconds in the Oval Office...... it takes a lot of skill and professionalism not to mess it up totally...... but you are so unlikely to move it into a higher plain....... how can you?.... its like almost over before you have even started.

This shot has 3D layered blur cos another taxi is zapping through the image in the opposite direction to the taxi you see and the direction of the pan of the camera.
