Mrs Thatchers death....... its odd that the ice Queen has died......... She was so dominate in our lives in our youth........ I know a lot of people are celebrating......... back in the day I had hated and feared Thatcherism......... but maybe I am just too forgiving............ maybe its cos I am chilling on a beach ........ either way I cannot quite bring myself to carry a torch of hatred for a dead woman......... I wrote this below on discussion amongst some of my friends on Facebook:

Jez Coulson : Yes..... and she really won through her mass unemployment and destruction of traditional industries and destruction of the Unions..... she was epoch changing with privitisation and hardcore Thatcherism ...... the Labour Party concceded it all..... they never tried to put any of that back....... her changes became accepted as the new Britain....... in fact it was New Labour running that New Britain......... But I can't quite bring myself to hold that passionate a hatred for an old woman at her death all these years on ...... she certainly caused terrible destruction and misery to working class communities....... and individuals...... even misery and suffering in my own family....... and yet I can't help feeling dancing at the news of her death like I see some folks on TV ........ is not really that political ...... more sort of bad taste posturing ...... Mind you...... I am notoriuous for letting feuds go........ I want to move on and forget ...... not hold on to pointless hatreds...... hearing of her death ........ I feel like some miners I heard on the radio....... they were looking back and speaking of the 'Great Strike' ....... 'that was the best times..... and the worst times'......... and I guess I agree....... and ultimately I just feel nostaligic for my youth........ not any active burning hatred of Mrs Thatcher :-// :-)) XXXXXX
