Some scars do not disappear even after 20 years ............ 20 years on from the skin grafts necessary to repair Clive Doyle's hands ........... 20 years since he crawled out of the fire that killed his daughter and 80 other fellow Branch Davidians ............. 20 years since he understood he was one of only a small handful of survivors of the whole 51 days of siege by the ATF and the FBI and horrific fire that ended it all .......... 20 years on he is still a believer in the prophecy of David Koresh who died with his followers in those flames .......... but Clive no longer lives up on the Davidian compound ............ partly because a new prophecy has risen.

The new Prophecy has risen in the person of Charles Pace. The remaining Branch Davidians are led by their new prophet up at Mount Carmel where their Church has been built once more ........ And they are again preparing for a conflict foretold .......... I went there with the writer Alex Hannaford for the Sunday Times Magazine (UK) ........ Alex is a great bloke and has an amazing knowledge of the whole Waco phenomena and a fantastic acceptance as an expert chronicler amongst the Davidian Community and their supporters .......... It was fascinating for me to be in Waco with Alex and meet the new prophet and his followers and tragic to think back to the terrible slaughter with some who were there ........... and again totally fascinating to see how the new message of the Davidians has real congruence with a fair section of Texas society............ that section is the very pro gun and very anti-Feds very anti-Obama populace ............ The Davidians have support from people like the ultra 'libitarian' talk radio host Alex Jones and his listeners........... Jones is famed across the US and even in the UK for his recent bust up on CNN with Piers Morgan over the gun control issue ......... and is very big in Texas where he like the Davidians is expecting Texas to Break away from DC and the rest of America.
