This picture is made on the Isle of Wight in the UK the last time I thought I might fall over a physical cliff ....... the US is looking like it might well go over the artificial fiscal cliff of tax rises and spending cuts ......... tragically the will to make political compromise and the courage to make those compromises seems to have deserted American politicians ....... particularly the new style (Tea-party) Republicans ........... even the downgrading earlier of the US financial rating was really due to governance failures that lead to deadlock ......... and here we are again with uncertainty already damaging the economy and the outlook ......... those guys need Nick Clegg he might be seriously unpopular here in Britain........ but he has been politically brave....... he has probably damaged himself and his Liberal (Center Left) party immeasurably by forming a coalition government with The Conservatives (Right wing) ........ but did so out of political necessity because of what he perceived to be the UK's National emergency of debt and recession ........ and its true Britain was really sinking fast ....... not that they have really fixed the UK's economy........ and It is true that Clegg is now mightily unpopular........ but it was undeniably politically brave......... Americans just need a little bravery from their politicians ...... and a relatively quick fix that is pretty well in everyones interests .......... and yet it appears to be no where in sight ....... with just days to go.
