So Im shooting this.......OK....... its one of my weird 42 layers of reflection shots .........I know they are hard to understand and do not comply with the archetypal composition and content conventions........ it is midnight in Wimbledon.....a group of drunken guys gather around: 'Who you waiting for?' ...... er......... me? Oh......er........no one...... really no one! Im just making a picture of this cake-shop....er.... the reflections and the people beyond........ er....... thats it! ...... but no....... They are convinced a starlet girl is about to appear........er guys.... really no one is coming..........we are in Wimbledon for gods sake........a rainy high Street in Britain in November at midnight ....... Get a grip... no film stars or pop stars are coming........ no models or girls in Bikinis from Page 3..........really...... get a grip on reality.........er........ Im photographing our actual shared reality.........Whats wrong with photographing actual reality? Why does all photography have to be wrapped up in your fantasy's about famous people?..........Why do so many people view photography through the defining paradigm of the Hollywood stars and the Paparazzi? .......... They all continue to gather round....... : " Who's coming really?"
