Matt sent me this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gX1EP6mG-E by The Old Crow Medicine Show as a road trip song for folks rolling in North Carolina.......... As we are indeed rolling in the Beast through North Carolina :-))))))

Weirdly ..... I had also heard a version of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lCH5JgWCZY earlier today while driving ......... this is a song by the British singer song writer Richard Thompson ........ his version has a very British folk sound ....... and I know he wrote it in answer to US songs about Thunderbirds and Corvettes and The Harley Davidson and all other fantastic American items of iconography ....... the idea was to create a song about an iconic British motorbike in a British way ....... so it was odd for me to discover this song now has many American Country bands covering it ........ and the place names are changed to American places ........ and it sounds like something from the heart of Dixie.......... hehehehe......... but it remains about the Vincent Black Lightening 1952 :-)))

The Beast itself is a little conflicted.......... A mighty Mustang GT......... hey you don't get more American iconic ........... and yet Matt has stuck me a British Union Jack on the front .......... it looks a little odd......... hehehehehe .....................
