I met this slightly crazed Paris based artist in Soho House today....... here in Central London. Amongst other topics....... We were discussing the problems of some aspects of French privacy law that effectively makes it illegal to shoot pictures in the street and then publish them. He gave examples of issues he had while shooting in Paris with cops hassling him and his crew. I told him about incidents I've had with cops in the UK........ inc back in the day an armed police raid on my house thanks to photographs I had shot .............. we bleakly discussed how a moral panic about photography was making it almost impossible to shoot in Europe half the time ............ I shot a couple of frames of him with the little Sony NEX5...... Right on schedule a member of staff turned up to tell me to stop shooting .............. :-////////////// .......... hehehehe..............
