People in Britain seem to be really going for it. Celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee........

Sixty years on the throne .......... There are Union Jacks and bunting flying everywhere ......... but I found this rather more personal tribute slightly more interesting .......... This drawing is made by Kim Kalan on the announcement white board at Caledonian Station ........... She works at the tube station in customer service............ She is a beautiful mixed race young woman with a white mom and a black dad ........ She is very proud of being British ....... I talked at length to her about the politics of personal identity and her art work ...... she was great :-)))))))))

Reminded me I heard a nice story this morning of a street party for asylum seekers who have become British and who are celebrating today http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/jubilation-for-the-new-britons-who-made-monarch-their-own-7811871.html

Cheers Jez XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

PS........... Its something like 2AM now in London and it is totally pouring with rain ..... it is lashing against the window pane ......... the forecast for tomorrows 1000 ship pageant on the Thames is not looking good.......... if it is anything like it is now..... its gonna be pretty grim....... :-////////
