Avebury Stone Circle down in Wiltshire in the the UK........ its the biggest stone circle in Europe......... it is amazing......... when I get time I always divert to go to standing stones........ especially neolithic stone circles like this............ I have battled snow drifts to go to completely abandoned stone circles in the Western Islands off Scotland and other out of the way places when I am within striking distance .......... but today I dropped off the M4 on the way to Bristol........ and easily approached this amazing place.......... on such a beautiful day many people are there to see this incredible monument..... It has been here for many thousands of years .......... Even with tourists and other folks chatting in the sunshine ........ these stones still have presence..........
