The little guy seems to be enjoying the Sunday Times Magazine 50 year anniversary exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery today .......... and why would he not....... 50 amazing years for this ground breaking magazine .......... here you see many of the famous front covers....... the show was fantastic........ it was an amazing trawl through world history, politics and culture......... displaying the worlds most amazing photography........ I was particularly impressed by the duratrans of Don McCullin's work from Vietnam and Bangladesh ....... and the work of Ben Gibson showing the giant fires in Kuwait due to Saddams forces deliberate burning of the oil wells.......... James Natchwey's images from Afghanistan ......... amazing pictures of the first heart transplant....... the first man on the moon........ the tanks of Tiananmen Square by Magnum's Stuart Franklin........ The Rolling Stones...... Tony Blair..... original art work by David Hockney...... the iconic stuff of history....... these are the images that actually represent those epoch making times in your minds eye........ it was a fantastic show....... I understand it has been a great success with 50,000 people flocking to see it in the last two weeks..... hats off to my old mate Jon Jones... Director of Photography on the Sunday Times Magazine....... he and his team have put on a fantastic show..... you have two days left to get round there..... I highly recommend it if you are within striking distance :-))) http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/current/sunday_times.htm
