"Blade Runner.....future as urban Hell: 'Sector 7 Clear........wait there is someone still down there-!!' "
His image is a really mega example of that 'blade runner' type genre........ It reminded me of a time in the past when I was obsessed by making photographs of urban tunnels and corridors ........er..... what Id primarily call subways in the UK......but I guess.....in the US people call them Pedestrian tunnels?.....or something else cos the underground train systems are called subways here ? ............ er........ anyway.......... I shot thousands of these images on film often with a single silhouette walking away as in Joe's mega shot........his image is a fantastic treatment........... it reminded me and inspired me..... I felt like finding that actual location or a similar one in NYC...... but right now Im up in DC....... I saw this pic above after riding the Metro Train to Court House Virginia which is still sort of part of the Metropolitan DC conurbation........ it hasn't got the same 'Blade Runner' thing happening but its a variation on a familiar theme.......
