For some reason..... I was thinking about the Republican Presidential candidate selection caucuses up in Maine this weekend ....... Front runner Mitt Romney won ....... Ron Paul the libertarian hero of the Tea Party Crew came second...... I started to dig around for pictures from Maine ...... I went there a couple of months back ........ When I looked through that trip up to Bangor Maine ...... I found that I had made a TIFF of this image above ....... But obviously had rejected it on the grounds that it was totally nutz .......... So it never appeared on the blog...........

But as I was looking at it....... The Foo Fighters started coming out of my speakers ...... with 'Wheels'....... its kind of my anthem....... I took it as a sign :-)) ........ a sign to post something nutty vaguely to do with wheels down .......... :-))

Aircraft flying over Silver Lake near Bangor Maine......... This was a totally amazing place to hang out.... Fantastically beautiful and empty ..... With for me a slightly contradictory sensation...... sort of woods and mountains with silence and sun.... miles from cities and people ......... but also ...... sort of proximity to the overhead planes and dynamic travel ...... with numerous aircraft passing overhead but feeling sort of related to this place ............. I had the overwhelming sensation to stay on a mountain just like this and never leave..... To be rooted ....... To move only at walking pace ......... while also having the totally opposite and contradictory sensation...... all at once........ of wanting to be on one of those planes traveling at 500 mph........... Going somewhere ....... To roll and to keep rolling ...... and just never stop...........
