Well, its time for me to start mentioning the Chicago City Project Workshop led by me Jez Coulson....... With the World Photography Organization.............. And for you guys its time to start planning to attend :-)) ....... The Chicago style ...... ' Diner On The Edge Of America ' ........ Yeah we are getting the band back together...... and this time heading for Illinois.
I completely loved leading the NYC style ' Diner On The Edge of America ' workshop ........... I went completely over the top running that thing ........ I was so enjoying it ..... and I so wanted people to come away having really felt it was a mega worthwhile experience.... and also to have really learned a thing or two ...... I wanted all the participants to feel they had really 'upped their game'...... I was doing it just like I do my shoots........ completely full on..... up early still out really late........
I wanted everyone to have a brilliant time and really achieve....... to take away new skills and new confidence........ to do something mega creative....... to do something exceptional....... and see the result of it all immediately up on the gallery walls in the Chelsea Art Museum in Manhattan. And you know what we had a brilliant group of people..... at all different skill levels and different levels of experience and different levels of confidence when they first arrived ......... and yet we all came together as a great team ........ all the participants and the leader (thats me) and we all seemed to really learn...... and to really enjoy it ........ to really do something lifted ........ to really achieve fab results............ You know, the exhibition was totally amazing :-))
I was genuinely amazed how fantastically people did ....... Even those not really used to handling more upscale cameras. It was a fantastically uplifting thing to be involved with :-)))))))) So I really am looking forward to doing it all again in Chicago...... you should sign up and get involved :-))
Just to prove how well people did........ my poster with my shot is the top one of the three ......... Lauren Decicca who was a participant on the NYC Diner on the Edge of America shot the picture for the middle poster during the workshop.......... And Eddie aka King of New York Hacks ...... who started off relatively inexperienced as a photographer when he began the workshop...... shot the image for the poster at the bottom......... I couldn't have been more proud if I shot it all myself ........... hehehehe......... and I think you should be impressed......... just like the World Photography Organization designers ........ they were totally blown away by the images produced by all the participants :-)))
Anyway we are doing it all again........ if you are within striking distance of Chicago and you are interested in having a 'lifted' experience in reportage photography......... you should come on down :-)) ........ sign up and reserve your place on the WPO site right now ............ This Diner on the Edge of America Workshop in Chicago will run from early evening on Friday 9th of December, We will be shooting on Saturday 10th December, then editing and putting together the show on the Sunday 11th ......... all participants will have some of their work displayed as part of the Final Chicago Diner On The Edge Of America Exhibition at the Chicago Photography Center as part of the World Photography Organizations Festival held at the same time.
Like the participants in the NYC Diner on the Edge of America The Chicago participants will have their work displayed in a most prestigious venue in their own City..... their exhibition will be up alongside WPO exhibitions from across the world........ but also the work will then go on to be displayed online through the WPO site....... but amazingly will also be seen in exhibition form at WPO photography festivals in cities throughout the world....... and also go on to form part of a book. It really is an amazing opportunity.
Again...... I am so excited to have this opportunity myself to be involved with the WPO and all the participants...... I would love to see you there :-))))))))))))) XXXXXXX
