Unbelievably today British Justice has just decided the conviction of George Davis for armed robbery is unsafe......... 36 years after he was convicted.......... and given a 20 year sentence............

When I was a kid I used to make black and white ink drawings of grim urban life............ always somewhere in the picture I would put the famed graffiti of back then ........ "George Davis is innocent"........ Mr Took my art teacher would moan about this.

I don't have any of those B&W ink drawings now ......... so here is the closest thing............ pretty soon I stopped making B&W ink drawings and became obsessed by B&W photography of urban scenes............ this is a B&W picture I made on my first assignment for News Week...... way back in the day.............

It does not have the 'George Davis is innocent' graffiti......... I guess cos now it is 20 years later...... I could just write it in with photoshop......... there is a perfect slot on the wall over on the right......... Yeah..... Amazing what you can do these days.....

Amazingly to think after all these years........ it appears those graffiti writers were right all along ........... And now finally ........ they have been proved right :-/
