This is the bus stop where a young man was stabbed to death. The police investigation into his murder was so poor and neglectful that in the end an enquiry found the police had been institutionally racist.

Today 18 years later two people have finally been charged with his murder.

The fact that this has finally happened is specifically down to improvements in the techniques and science of crime scene analysis ............ but really the police inadequacy and racism was exposed and hounded by the Daily Mail........ this constant reporting made them do something .......... The Mail at one point put pictures of the murderers on their front Page......... with the headline these people murdered Stephen Lawrence......... and if they didn't they can sue us.......... they did not sue.................

I really hate racist murderers.......... I hate racist crap policemen........ I love a bit of muscular press freedom... and press action seeking justice.... even if it breaks the law........ Well done Daily Mail...........

Good luck to the Lawrence family........ hopefully they will at last get justice for themselves and for Stephen. He was such a studious, very well behaved, and very well liked young man with fantastic prospects, loved by his family and friends with his whole life in front of him...... he was just waiting politely at the bus stop. The only reason he was picked on and stabbed was because of the color of his skin. It's such a disgusting crime..... it cries out for action...... for justice.

Hopefully now, nearly 20 years too late, his murderers will go to prison for life.
