I've been depressed like every one else...... about the tragic shooting of Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and those around her in Arizona.......... just horrible and so sad...........

I guess I'm a proper Brit when it comes to guns. It seems like madness to let all the nutters and everyone else to have guns.

It appears the shooter really is a lone nutter without any proper politics........ but I can't help thinking all the hate speak against Obama's perceived Communism does make greater the likelihood of political assassination .......

All the buying of ammunition and guns to arm yourself against the Federal Government......... really is nutz...... and talking as if you need to do this...... is plain anti democratic in my view.

Political opposition to the elected government of the day is one thing....... armed opposition.... even talking about it..... is something else entirely.

There has been a massive divide between supporters of the different parties and a break down of respect. Some Democrats and Leftists spoke in a vile way about President Bush....... demeaning the office of President itself......... but some of the people on the edge of the Tea Party really are in a frightening new league of their own...... and they really are armed. Being armed is important to their posturing and politics......... with all their talk about defending themselves against the Federal Government and its thought to be Marxist ways ......... frankly I'm amazed there has not been more violence.........

Depressing.
