Here is Ringo.......... you guyz all seemed to love her........ so I thought she could have a bit more of a starring roll........... I love these little Jack Russell's........... Ringo is the second scruffy long haired Jack Russell I have had a lot of crazy dealings with.......... the first was Rex-ma-boy ........... he was equally as crazed as Ringo and equally beautiful............. :-))

But......... Sadly over the weekend......... I received this very very sad little text:

Jez, some sad news - we had to say goodbye to Rex this evening. Cataracts, heart condition, stomach tumor, total deafness and 15 busy years all caught up with him. He was a lovely family dog. Its tears all round tonight.... H

Oh no.......... Rex-Ma-Boy............. :-( .......... He was such a great dog.......... :-((((((((((((

It all started 15 years back....... I was looking after him for my friends L & D ....... they had bought him to give to D's father........ but his father became a little too ill to look after such a bouncy crazed pup............ so I had him for the weekend...... as I had been at a dinner party at L&D's.......... and I clearly loved him...... and I had a tiny bit of garden (rare for central London).......... the weekend kind of extended....... my neighbor H looked over into my tiny yard........... "How can you have a dog?" ....... he said........ "You are never there!"....... he was right ....... even more zapping about went on back then.......... to the furtherest corners of the globe and to some of the grimmest conflicts and wars............

I said to H it was just temporary as clearly I could not keep him....... but of course..... I would absolutely love to........... I was trying to find him a good home......... H looked a little alarmed......... then I uttered the fatal words........... "You should have him"........ H was spluttering......... "what are you doing offering me that dog in front of my 3 kids?".......... " Yes Daddy..... Yes daddy ...... please Daddy...... Oh please Daddy! "............ hehehehe.........

H said they couldn't as they had a yacht and went sailing....... but his wife D said...... 'he is the perfect size for a boat dog'......... hehehe........ sold........ to the beautiful lady over the fence.......... :-))

I said I would be responsible for him if they were sailing to France or further somewhere he could not go ......... and anyway i could help out looking after him too......... so it was agreed......... and we cut a big gate hole between our two gardens and shared him.......... a dog share....... I had a dog for walking and fun........ but when I was off to the airport I just popped him out of the french windows into the garden..... no hassle ........... :-))

They really looked after him........ feeding him etc ........ but he would be bouncing away outside the glass doors into the garden when I came home from the airport ........ he was a great little guy..............

I used to leave him with M at the Insight office when I had to have him and the family were away......... but he was so good natured and trusting he could be left with any of my friends............ once I was visiting my mum and Dad the phone rang I had to run to the airport.......... so I was gone leaving him with my folks........ I think they had him for 3 weeks........ hehehehe............. they completely loved him....... but liked to pretend to complain about me bringing him........ then running off ........ hehehehe............

Ah......... Rex-Ma-Boy............. I lived in that house for 7 years........ in the end I blew it by moving to the States.......... Rex obviously stayed with H and his wife D and their 3 fantastic children who all just loved him............... he had a great life......... last time I saw him he was very elderly and deaf but still chasing balls.......... such a spirited little guy............ the kids are all grown ups now.......... Rex has passed on............... woooooooooooow time passes................

He was such a great guy I feel sad and happy to think back......... that was a very happy time........ a dog share with a fantastic dog......... and brilliant friends and neighbors........... I recommend that to anyone.........

And in fact......... I still have a similar arrangement now.......... that allows me to walk Ringo........( and Mutley too).......... when I am back in England............ Mutley is so much fun....... and Ringo is just like Rex.......... dogs always raise your spirits........ this week especially the scruffy little Jack Russells :-))) XXXXXXXXXXXX
