Hitch has been in action again over the weekend......... in the last few years I have come to really admire him.......... he no longer looks as I have him above........ he is now suffering from very life threatening cancer and its treatment......... he looks pretty unwell......... and yet he still trashed Tony Blair in a debate over faith and religion........... " TORONTO — Christopher Hitchens still an atheist — even as he battles the last stages of cancer. The 61-year-old writer mocked religion in front of a Toronto audience on Friday, criticizing the faithful’s belief in a "celestial dictator — kind of divine North Korea."........... Hitch is just great value always sharp as tack with his cutting wit and fantastic arguments...... to be fair to Blair....... a debate is all about logic and proper reasoned argument...... there is no way anyone can defend religion using logic or reasoned argument...... Blair has famously become a Catholic since leaving office........ anti-war protestors were calling for the arrest of Blair outside the debate........ oddly enough Hitch and Blair would have been on the same side if discussing the Iraq war......... but maybe not from exactly the same position....... Hitch said at one point one of the things that makes you sure you need to support the war in Iraq is because every single church you could name( including the Catholic Church of course) was against it............
