Not waving but drowning.........? Obama and the Democrats in todays election results lose control of the House but just about hang on in the Senate........ still it was hard enough to push through his legislative agenda already......... by the time a new crop of Republicans with Tea Party types breathing down their necks turn up in DC its going to be even more acrimonious and 'Audacity of Change' could be replaced by 'Awfulness of No Chance ever' is my guess.............

This picture is of the last wave of the last speech of Obama's winning campaign of 2008....... During the 'Audacity of Hope' days....... seems a while back now.......... still a moment in history.......... captured here for eternity...... or until my hard drives give out at least..........

British Prime Minister David Cameron is getting stick today for hiring a photographer....... (and a videographer but this seems.. as ever.. to be a lesser crime) .......... I have to say its so petty to slag him off for this ........ the White House has its own staff of photographers recording for posterity the big moments... but also the family... or human things the President does while in office ......... there is some all round recognition that his time in office deserves some effort to record and document....... not just President Obama but all Presidents........... Its fantastic to look back at President Kennedy in the Oval office...... to look at all the other Presidents Clinton, Nixon, Carter, Bush blah blah.... the White House Photographers have made those historic images .......... Whats wrong with Brits that they think their government deserves no record......... ?
