I shot this off the TV...... cos It was all going so well ........... 4 mins from the opening whistle England\'s captain Steven Gerrard scores a fantastic goal...... England go one nil up against the USA in the FIFA Football World Cup in South Africa........... but it wasn\'t to last...... a goal keeping error gave the USA an equalizing goal totally against the run of play..... just before half time. Then the second half game just would not go England\'s way in terms of goals at least.

Ah well...... a one all draw ......... it felt like a bit of a disaster........ but I guess it\'s not bad for a Brit that lives in America....... I\'m flying in to NYC ....... early in the morning ..... I guess it\'s the result I should want...... I\'m vaguely interested in the Yankees (NY Baseball) and the Giants (NY American Football).... The Red Bulls (NY soccer) and even The Galaxy (LA Soccer) ...... but you know it feels like football..... it\'s a British thing it\'s the Premier League and England........ my sister in SA who sent me my own Voovoozela, which i used on a balcony over London during the game...... she was wondering if I was gonna be torn ..... but the truth is....... I\'m not torn........ I\'m like all Brits no matter where we live (even SA when you are definetly interested in Bafana Bafana too) ....... in the end ........ I want to see England win....... come on ROOOONEY !!!!!!! ............ ENG-ER-LAND !!!!!! hehehehe...... :-))

OK So I\'ve got that off my chest....... Now I need to work on my American accent so as not to get too much mickey taking over the soccer result back in New York :-) ............ and so as not to get too much stick or (ass kicking to quote the President) about BP and it\'s oil slick.
