Gordon Brown has announced he is resigning soon as Labour Leader ........ not surprising really he did lose the election....... the surprising thing is that currently he is still Prime Minister and that it is still not certain who will succeed him......... Poor old Gordon Brown....... He has never had the full legitimacy of a proper mandate....... he pushed Tony Blair out and took over ....... he never actually won an election to become the Prime Minister...... he is praised internationally by some economists even by President Obama for having played an important role in stopping the world financial crisis getting completely out of control....... but the people of Britain don't thank him......... in fact he is blamed... not unreasonably.. for the terrible state of Britain's finances.

Here is Gordon in slightly happier times listening lovingly to President Bush shortly after he..... Gordon had killed off Tony... and taken over from him ........... :-)) It was odd for me to see Gordon B in the role of British Prime Minister ........ Tony B had been British Prime Minister so long I found it hard at the time to truly believe anyone else could be in that role here in the White House rose garden....... : -)) XXXXXXXX
