I was watching on TV that crazy incident in DC on 14th and U Street ......... where a massive fun community snow fight suddenly took a dangerous turn......... when a bloke whose Hummer had been pelted suddenly got out with a gun and was menacing snowballers with a real gun............. as the crowd called out who brings a gun to a snowball fight? Someone obviously rang 911 ......... Cops arrived quite rightly with their weapons drawn to deal with the maniac....... only to discover the maniac was in fact a cop himself........... a plain clothes detective who had not properly identified himself as such till then............

He has been suspended from normal duty pending an enquiry......... the reason he has been suspended is not that he drew a gun on a non threatening group of people totally inappropriately.............. no....... its not that.......... although its related to that........ no....... its because he was filmed drawing a gun on a non threatening group of people in a totally inappropriate way..........

Proving once again it is public spirited and a defense of a free society to film or photograph the police going about their activities....... it helps them all..... to remember they...... the police........ must act within the law and not abuse their power.
